Jelmer de Jong is VP Product Management at Backbase, Backbase, a software company founded in 2003 that delivers omni-channel banking solutions for financial institutions across the world.

Jelmer has focused his career on internet and mobile innovation. He began as an entrepreneur with a company that helped SMBs to sell products online and later joined a start-up to build one of the first global online and mobile trading platforms in the perishable industry.

As VP Product Management, he leads the product management and product marketing organization at Backbase being responsible for the complete product portfolio and the overall product experience. Jelmer’s main objective is delivering products that customers love while accelerating Backbase’s growth by making customer successful, creating true product innovation, and customer focused product development.
